Dear Prayer Warriors and Supporters,
March 20 , 2002

Thank you so much !
Thank you for your prayers and gifts that enabled me to have a marvelous trip to Sri Lanka!

The Lord provided an amazing variety of ministry opportunities. Many folks were saved and powerful relationships between servants of Jesus were formed. These relationships will result in even more souls saved in the future. All Glory to God!

Our first hostess was Rhuani Rambukwalle who heads up the prayer warriors and organizers of the National Christian Women's Conference, which is being planned for August. It was a strategic time of encouragement for Rhuani, who just lost her father the previous week. Please pray for her and the other ladies to press through the spiritual battle and receive all that the Lord has in mind for the women of this precious nation.

ARISE & SHINE REVIVAL CONFERENCE
People being released into Missions !

Our next host was Rodney Pereira, a delightful brother and a powerful evangelist, who organized two big opportunities for our team: the Arise & Shine Revival Conference and the Makandura Crusade, both were held in a predominantly Buddhist area just north of Colombo.

For the Arise and Shine Conference, a tent was pitched next to the AOG Church in Ragama. For 2 days it was packed with over 1,000 people. 23 pastors attended representing several denominations. The theme was, "Let Us Build Unity in Diversity." Amen! I learned to sing "Release Me Oh Lord" in Sinhala, and they sang it over and over with all their hearts.

What a divine privilege to speak the message of release into the nations!

I will include further testimonies from the conference and crusade later in this report, which Rodney sent in his own colorful words

Our next host and hostess were Woodie and Melanie Blok, who among other incredible things, organized a TV interview with a Christian news broadcaster named Noeline Honter.

The 2 minute interview, which included my testimony, a snatch of Pioneer and a bit of Release Me Oh Lord in Sinhala, was aired on a government channel during the 9:30 news and seen by at least 1 million people!

Awesome God !

Woodie and Melanie packed my last two days in the country with the following adventures:
an interview for a secular fashion magazine, which includes Christian articles;
a seminar for worship leaders;
a morning off to swim in which we met an East German family;
the opening of a children's home;
the TV interview;
and a concert in which the German family opened their hearts to Jesus! . . . WOW
Thanks and glory to God for the privilege of working once again with Syd and Liz Doyle, for Tonya Reed, my mission trip assistant, for the renewal of precious friendships, and the forging of new ones (bless you, Yohan and Becki for coming all the way from Kandy to take Tonya and me to the airport!)

 Thanks to you precious
 prayer warriors and givers.
 Please keep it up! The prayer
 support is obviously working.
 We are doing fine financially,
 but we need some of you to
 please give toward the
 upcoming Nicaragua trip.

 William and I leave April 11,
 which by the way,
 is my 50th birthday.   :o)

     We wanna see JESUS lifted HIGH !

Love with all our hearts,
Nancy, J.R., and William

A Letter from Rodney Pereira,
    Rodney,         Syd  &  Liz Doyle,     Tonya Reed,    Honeytree
Dear Syd and Liz,

We don't really know how to express our gratitude for the wonderful ministry extended to our people. The testimonies keep pouring in every day. Thank you and Praise God!

The Conference and Crusade has impacted the lives of hundreds of people as well as the pastors and leaders. Here are a few testimonies:

1) A group of 29 young men and women came to their pastor a few days after the conference and said "we can't be quiet any more" and took to the streets evangelizing. Many got saved as a result!

2) A man who was a terrible alcoholic had walked in to the tent. He received instant deliverance, nobody prayed on him! His wife, family and friends cannot come to terms as to what has happened to this man who was such a nuisance before his miracle!

3) Liz, remember you gave an alter call and a few came forward for salvation? Among those who came forward was a young man, he accepted Christ and he is now

full in the Spirit and sharing his experience with every one he meets and demands that every one of them MUST accept Christ.

4) Syd, your session with the pastors and leaders has done loads of good. One of the comments was that your approach is excellent and that they got what they really searched. I am very thankful about this session because I know God did something wonderful adding to the value of the whole conference. The little gift you gave the participants was very touching; these little acts of love go a long way especially in village ministry.

5) Several people have received healing and deliverance at the Makandura crusade. The Pastor came to my place and testified that more people are weeping in repentance for long hours and that something has happened in their lives that they themselves cannot explain. About 200 responded to the call of salvation, by now over 30 have come

to church and a visiting/follow-up program is in progress.

6) Here is good news, at least 20 pastors and churches came together through this program and many of them who had strained relationships have reunited and are willing to serve each other. This has been a major issue of the past and I praise God for this great miracle! Hallelujah!!

7) Few days ago I visited a pastor in a nearby village and what do you think he was doing? He was copying one of Nancy's tapes to distribute among other pastors who couldn't afford to buy one for themselves. The old tape-recorder wasn't working too well but they managed to do the job. This pastor told me how much he was blessed by her singing, and the few words that he could understand has done something in his life. He is all smiles and I see joy in his face.

Nancy Honeytree has become a popular star among those who attended the conference and "Release me O Lord" is no doubt the theme song in the hearts and churches of those who participated!

8) I met the pastor of the church Tonya ministered. He specifically
testified that their congregation was blessed; especially the women are
inspired and challenged. Tonya's spirit of a servant and her readiness to hug people with a caring heart was an observation I like to put on record.

I really appreciate all the good that is coming out of your faithful work, and I count it a privilege to be linked with you so that we could impact the nations and reach every tongue and tribe with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Yours in Him,     Rodney

Rejoicing to Release Me Oh Lord
