Rich performs each Wednesday night with the Scott Gwinnell Jazz Orchestra at the
Detroit jazz club Cliff Bells, from 9:30 to 12:30.

The SGJO consists of a 16-piece big band lead by pianist/composer/arranger Scott Gwinnell and performs Scott’s original compositions and arrangements, as well as works by Thad Jones, Charles Mingus, Tom Kubis, Bob Brookmeyer, and many others.

Joining Rich in the trumpet section are Patrick Hession (formerly with Maynard Ferguson), Brandon Cooper and Dr. Scott Cowan.

The SGJO will perform at the 2007 Detroit International Jazz Festival on
Saturday, September 1, at 2:15 P.M., at the main Amphitheater stage.
